Comics in the Classroom
Ever thought to use comic books in the classroom? In this session, the presenter will share their story about why it is beneficial to use comics and how they have crafted their use of comics over the course of 3 years. Comics have served as a great tool for developing a strong culture of literacy in the classroom. While utilizing technology to support comics inclusion is not always necessary, technology tools will be discussed for making comics. Both Book Creator and www.pixton.com will be introduced.

Be Internet Awesome with Google
The IDOE Office of eLearning has initiated the launch to be the first state that will deliberately work to create a culture of students who are internet awesome! In this session, 3-5 grade educators/Technology Directors/ Library-Media educators will get inspired to connect and utilize the Google Be Internet Awesome resources that align with the new CS standards. The session will allow time to explore the 5 fundamentals of the curriculum and Interland. This session is not just for Google schools, all schools may use this curriculum.
